The Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon, at their annual “Community Days” took time out to compete in the Bocce Ball Tournament. Interestingly, this game was once the most popular game in the world! The basic aim of the game is to get your ball closest to the “jack” at the end of four balls per team. The game drew 18 contestants this year and a huge gallery of spectators! The champions, at the end of the double elimination tournament were Sister Juanita Villareal and Sister Michael Francine.

I love it! Thank you for sharing this Sister Krista.
A special hello to Sisters John Theresa and Michael Francine whom I haven’t seen in some time. Glad to see you both!
Much love and blessings to you all!
Thank you, Wendy for your comment to the Sisters. I am sure they will really appreciate hearing from you too!!!
Sr. Krista, it looks like y’all had way too much fun! When did the tournament take place? All the sisters would have passed out down here with the heat index @ 105 degrees. I hope it’s cooler in Beaverton! Tell Sr. Michael Francine she looked very intense in winning!!! Also, tell all your family hi for us!
Thank you, Susan, for following us! The tournament took place on our East Lawn next to the Motherhouse building! Hope all is well in ALABAMA!!!:)
