The Howling Howard Zipline at Camp Howard

The zip line at Camp Howard was installed by SYNERGO in 2016 and a naming contest was held with the Catholic Schools. Levi Samuels from St. Ignatius School won the contest with “The Howling Howard.”

The Zip Line and Big Swing are reserved for the older campers during the week as getting everyone through the events would not be possible. Camp Howard has progressive activities for campers and these two events are the peak experiences.

Several Camp Howard staff are trained each summer to operate the Howling Howard and give campers a thrill through the four sections of the zipline. Future expansions of the Zip line are expected.

Kayla Houston and Andreas Markantonakos have spent the summer building courage in young boys and girls through activities on the “Howling Howard” zipline at Camp Howard. The massive fir trees provide a shade from the warm temperatures this summer as the youngsters and their mentors zip across the camp enjoying the features of the zip line and the fantastic views at the camp.
