Daniel Thompson and Logan Phillips, both past 3000 meter run champions put on an exhibition for the spectators at the CYO Meet of Champions, trading the lead several times through out the race with Zach Lavier holding a close third most of the race.  The event came down to the last straight  way of the track to be decided with Daniel Thompson powering it out for the finish!  Both young men broke the old record and Thompsons mark of 9:37.06 will be the new target!
